He was predeceased by: his parent Seymour Douglas; his wife Greta (Smith); and his siblings, William, Charles, Henry, Victor, Donald, Jean Starratt, Madeline Colby, Hilda Sherman, Alice Walsh and Iris Whitman.
He is survived by: his parent Clara Belle Walsh (King); his children, Grant (Rose Marie), Sylvia Smith of Mount Denson and Cheryl Rhodes (Harley) of Lockhartville; his sister Erma Wamback of Hantsport; and his grandchildren, Natalie MacLean (Charles), Paul Walsh (Angela), Gregory Smith (Sherry), Andrew Smith (Marlene), Jason Smith (Michelle) and Brodie Rhodes. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ronald may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia,.
