He was predeceased by: his parents, John Saunders and Hattie Saunders (O'Leary); and his siblings, Ruth, Laurie, Freeman, Herbie and Chesley.
He is survived by: his sister Melba Harvie; his daughters, Karen Saunders Brison, Nancy Saunders (Ernie Brennan) and Angela Saunders (Stephen Gass); and his grandchildren, Kara Brison, Ben, Garret Brennan, Ketch Harbor, Stevie Gass, Jean, Gass and Hammonds Plains.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the fire department or health clinic.
