She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Connors and Jennie Connors (Benedict); her husband Borden Stanfield Benedict; her former husband Robert Wesley Lyon; her sons, Daniel, Gerald and Colin Lyon; her son-in-law Edwin Dimock; her siblings, Lewis, Edwin, Harold Connors, Gladys McCann and Myrna; and her stepchildren, Stewart, Medford Lyon, Clayton, Dale Benedict and Joyce Harvey.
She is survived by: her children, Ida Mae Dimock, Lawrence Frederick "Fred" Lyon (Glenda), William "Bill" Henry Lyon (Margaret), Nancy Jean Flynn (Gordon) and Katherine Myrna Lyon (Antonio Villafuerte); her stepchildren, Morris Benedict (Ella) and Faye McCarthy; her stepdaughter-in-law Sharon Benedict; and her grandchildren, Celeste Baxter (Carl), Reuben Dimock (Lianne), Kimberly Lyon (Shayne), Heather Lyon (Jamie), Rhonda Pinder, Jennifer Flynn, Jason Lyon, Luis, Samuel and Olivia Villafuerte. She is also survived by Several great grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
