She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Cochrane and Elizabeth Cochrane (MacLean); her daughter Melanie; and her sisters, Wendy Cochrane and Debbie Perry.
She is survived by: her husband Larry MacAskill; her children, Jason MacAskill and Melissa Jones; her grandchildren, Dawson, Ethan, Matt and Kaitlyn; her sister Helen MacDonald; and her pet Scamp. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
