With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Alexina Dempsey (Windsor, Nova Scotia), born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 2, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hadley and Mary Lillian MacDonald; and her siblings, Marguerite Haley, Geraldine Chisholm, Lillian Connolly, Jean Graham, Hadley "Junior" MacDonald and Bert MacDonald.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Dempsey; her sister Audrey Mitton (Lorne); her children, Jean, Janice (Alan), Don (Suzanne) and Paul (Darlene); her grandchildren, Patrick, Jack, Ben, Emily, Connor, Will, Cameron, Claire, Adam and Katherine; and her uncles, Frank (Jean), Don and Paul (Millie).
Donations in memory of Irene may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
