He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Boyd and Norma Boyd (Wright); his close friend Brian Lavers; his wife Elizabeth "Debbie" Mowry; his children, Brian, Graeme and Leicia Alderman (Chris); his grandchildren, Geneva, Bella Hudgins and Hayden Boyd; his stepgranddaughter Athena Alderman; his siblings, Rick (Wendy) and Cindy Vollick; his brother-in-law Ted Vollick; and his stepgranddaughter Liberty Alderman.
