He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Lake and Nellie Lake (Church) of Lower Vaughn; his siblings, Bonnie Wile, Archie and Avon; his wife Louise Lake (Levy); and his children, Margaret Sanford, Pamela, Andrew and John.

He is survived by: his children, Neil, Terry Hart (Graham), Mary Ann Baxter (Wentworth Creek), Susan (Spryfield) and Gloria Brown of Edmonton, AB; his daughters-in-law, Shelly Lake (John) and Elaine Lake (Andrew); and his sister Doris Rafuse. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
