It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Charlotte MacAvoy (Windsor, Nova Scotia), who passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her stepfather Kenneth McDonald; her parents, Thelena May McDonald and Clifford Reid; her sister Wendy McDonald; and her son Jason MacAvoy.
She is survived by: her sons, Carey Murphy, Steven Murphy and Robbie MacAvoy; the father of her children Frank MacAvoy; her daughters-in-law, Lisa Drader-Murphy, Lesley Murphy, Lisa MacAvoy and Deanna Frankton; her grandchildren, Samuel Drader, Sarah Murphy, Luca Pelliccetti, Garrett Murphy, Amanda MacAvoy, Dane MacAvoy, Maddy Bruhm, Morgan Bruhm and Marina MacAvoy; her brothers, Steve and Dean McDonald; her sister-in-law Sharon McDonald; her nieces and nephews, Kryss McDonald, Terri Oliver, Maria McDonald, Mike McDonald and Steven Oliver; and her aunt Heather Gurniak.
