He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Benedict and Florence Benedict (Marr); his wife Heather Benedict (Crowell); his son Robert "Bob" Benedict; his sister Olive "Ollie" Benedict; his granddaughter Katelynn MacNeil; and his great grandchild Carter Hiltz.
He is survived by: his children, David (Dawn) of Pleasantville, Mark (Gail) of Falmouth, Cathy Pemberton (Allan) of Curry's Corner and Mike (Lisa) of Windsor; and his siblings, Marshall, Bill Benedict (Doris) and Betty Harvey. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Donations in memory of Freeman may be made to St. George's Anglican Church.
