He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick H. "Fred" Schofield and Dorothy Schofield (Keddy); and his siblings, Marion Schofield, Nina Rogers, Parker and Lawrence.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Leighton) of Crossroads Restaurant; his children, Michelle, Cheryl, Patti Sanford (Jimmie), Colbi-Dawn Kehoe, Tony (Phyllis Connors) and Roland (Jessica); his grandchildren, Sarah, Ashley, Kaileyne, Abbi-Jean, Jahnaya, Ella, Kaiah, Christopher and Kelly; and his brother Paul. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Fred be made to a charity of one's choosing.
