She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Sanford and Gloria Sanford; and her brothers, Graham Sanford, Stephen Sanford and Paul Sanford.
She is survived by: her husband Joe MacLellan; her son Jason Sanford; her stepdaughters, Brenda MacLellan and Carol Kirvin (Tim); her stepmother Debbie Sanford; her granddaughter Samantha Wall (Reid); and her siblings, Rhoda Dunbar (Grant), Ruth Fiddick, Margaret Sanford and Vernon Sanford (Anna). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory of Elaine may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
