He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Boyer and Florina Boyer; and his brothers, Andre "Andy" and Gaetan Boyer. He is survived by: his stepfather Napoleon Boyer; his daughter Tammy Oulton; his grandchildren, Ayralee of Halifax, Jake, North Grand Pre, Alexandria and Wolfville; and his siblings, Lucille Daoust of Toronto, Ont, Audrey Mostaway of Lunenburg, Jackie Barron of Blockhouse, Pauline Labelle of Brampton, Ont, Marcel, Orillia, Claude and Windsor.
