He was predeceased by: his parents, Dundonald Smith and Maude Smith (Ward); his wife Pauline; and his siblings, Guy, Ted, Mary, Nita and Louise.
He is survived by: his daughters, Paulette Fischer (Larry) and Donna Smith; his grandchildren, Marcail (John), James (Desiree), Alexander (Terra) and Donald (Alison); his sisters, Catherine Watson, Helen Poehl, Denise Rodgers and Judy McCullum; and his close friend Mike Samson. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
