She was predeceased by: her father William "Bill" Hines; her grandparents, Clyde, Elizabeth "Libby" Hope, Arthur and Hazel Hines; and her nephew William "Billy" Cleveland.
She is survived by: her husband Andrew; her children, Lydia and Ewan; her mother Elizabeth "Betty" Hines (Hope); and her siblings, Terry Hines (Lisa) and Susan Hines-Kennedy.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be announced at a later date, to ensure the many lives she has touched are able to attend and pay their respects.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Nova Scotia Division, 5826 South St., Halifax, NS B3H 1S6, in honour of Deb.
