Darrell Douglas Hiltz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2024, at the age of 81, Darrell Douglas Hiltz (Windsor, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Hiltz and Elizabeth Hiltz (Turner); his brothers, Milton and Francis Hiltz (Fern); his brother-in-law Gerald Davis; his niece Elizabeth Ann Davis; his nephew Nicholas Hiltz; and his sister-in-law Barbara Potter (Beaton).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hiltz (Potter); his daughter Jan Rogers (Nathan); his granddaughter Violette "Vi" Ketonen; his sister Gail Davis; his siblings-in-law, Joyce Hiltz, Brian Potter, Wynne Potter (Judy), Joanne Lovett (Potter) and Mary MacDonald (Potter); and his caregivers, Rebecca and Emma.
Despite a remarkable comeback from pneumonia, he caught Covid, just days before he was to be discharged for home. As a result of the Covid infection, he developed a number of blood clots in his legs and lungs and after a few days he suffered a mild but significant cardiac event and then his kidneys shut down.
