We are sad to announce that on November 18, 2022, at the age of 97, Alphonse Martin Gillis (Windsor, Nova Scotia), born in Grand Mira North, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Gillis and Catherine Gillis (Campbell); his wife Evelyn "Snooks" (Faulkner); his close friend Joan Starrett; and his siblings, Joseph, Dan (Maryanne), John Alex, Allen, Lawrence, Bernard (Mary), Lucy, Anne Pitre (Bill), Florence Presseau (Armand), Mary and Clara Murphy (Harry).
He is survived by: his children, David (Lois), Whitehorse, Cathy, Martin (Susan), John (Wanda), Grand Falls-Windsor, Bill and Ottawa; and his sisters-in-law, Audrey (Josef Koncovy), Charlotte Gillis and Sydney. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
