He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hood and Francis Hood (Shiers); his siblings, Billy, Victor, Mildred McReynolds, Elizabeth Demont and Mary Duchak; and his former wife Helena Hood (Jollymore).

He is survived by: his children, Debbie Laffin and Philip Hood (Marilyn); his sisters, Joan Othred and Ruby Monroe; his grandchildren, Christopher, Dustin and Samantha; and his friend Joan Mcisaac.
