She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hirtle and Mary Hirtle (Whynotte); her husband Mervin; and her siblings, Max, Arnold, Basil, Mildred, Dorothy, Kathleen, Nina and Melrose.
She is survived by: her children, Peter of Bridgewater, Cookville of Bridgewater, Paul (Sharon) of Bridgewater, Philip of Bridgewater and Pam (Gordon); her grandchildren, Sarah Corkum (Ashtin), Jessie Williams (Robert) and Bruce (Miranda); and her great grandchildren, Violet and Marcus. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shoreham Village.
