She was predeceased by: her parent Morris Nowe; her husband Harold W. Lantz; her siblings, Victor and Kathleen; her granddaughter Darlene Smiley-Mac Donald; her son-in-law Arthur Smiley; and her nephews, Morris Nowe, Cedric Nowe and Eric Nowe.

She is survived by: her parent Iniah Nowe (Ritcey); her daughter Shirley Louise Smiley; her grandson David Smiley (Pamela); her great grandchildren, Alisha MacDonald of Saltsprings, Heather MacDonald of Saltsprings, Allison Hallett, Shannon Hallett of New Glasgow and Alex MacDonald; her nieces, Linda Wentzell, Lunenburg Co, Joan Feener of Center and Janet Jones (Ray); and her nephew Boyd Nowe.
