He was predeceased by: his parents, Linnes Wentzell and Frances Wentzell (Wagner); his brother Paul; and his brother-in-law Frederick Arenburg. He is survived by: his children, Owen (Amanda) and Becky Hirtle (Elvy); and his granddaughter Jasmine Hirtle. He is also survived by two sisters, three brothers and several nieces and nephews.
