He was predeceased by: his parents, Burnald Harnish and Doris Harnish (Snair) of Queensland; and his children, Gregory and Jennifer. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his son Adam Harnish; and his sister Coralee Pearson (Queensland). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
