He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hatt and Betty Hatt (Conrad); his daughter Brenda; his stepdaughter Alma MacDonald; and his siblings, Brian Hatt, Margaret and Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his son Chad Hatt (Julie); his stepchildren, Darlene Duffney (Mike), Thane MacDonald, Michael MacDonald (Harriett), Hamilton, Basil MacDonald (Lisa) and Billy MacDonald (Jenny); and his siblings, Sylvia Langille, Bernie Hatt, Burlington of On and George Hatt. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or to any other charity.
