Sarah Katie MacLeod Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2024, at the age of 97, Sarah Katie MacLeod of Whycocomagh, Nova Scotia, born in River Denys, Nova Scotia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sarah Katie MacLeod to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander MacLean (Sandy) and Jessie MacLean (MacGregor) of River Denys; her husband Malcolm John; her siblings, John Dan River Denys (Jack), Margaret (River Denys) and Katherine; her daughter-in-law Mary Ritcey-MacLeod; and her grandson Kevin Roderick MacLeod of Halifax.

She is survived by: her son Malcolm; her granddaughter Alison Landry (Jerome); her great grandchildren, Hayleigh Janea MacLeod, Nora, Oliver and Cameron Landry; and her brother Charles of Victoria, B. C.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Homes Chapel (W) (12 Main St, Whycocomagh, NS B0E3M0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Forbes United Church (517 Southside River Denys Rd, River Denys, NS B0E2Y0). A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:25 PM at the FIR Grove Cemetery. A reception was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Valley Mills Fire Hall (7548 NS-105, Orangedale, NS B0E2K0).
