She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Gillis (Beaton) and Owen Dan Gillis; her brothers, Frankie and Sandy; and her sister-in-law Marguerite.
She is survived by: her husband John Hugh; her children, Shawn and Shauna; her siblings, Marie (Joe), Michigan, Joyce Gillis (David), Gwen, Joan Cameron (Hughie), Jane, Brenda Gillis (Sandy), Lorne and Ernest (Pauline); her sisters-in-law, Alice Gillis and Carol Gillis; her sister Margaret; her nephew Brendan; and also, Blair MacKinnon, Macy, Sally, Hughie MacLennan, Gussie, Alexander and Katie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the ICMH - Palliative Care.
