He was predeceased by: his parents, George Munro and Gladys Munro; his brother Graham Munro; his parents-in-law, Cameron Matheson and Winnie Matheson; and his brother-in-law Jim Matheson.

He is survived by: his wife Jean (Matheson); his sons, James (Andrew) and Blair; his brothers, Gordie Munro (Isabel) and Jerry Munro (Elsie); and his sisters-in-law, Nelly Munro and Cathy Matheson.
