He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Mullen and Georgine Mullen (Thibault); and his brother Elwood. He is survived by: his wife Maurine; his stepson Laurie (Denise); and his siblings, Anna Dahlgren (Kingston), Nelson (Isabelle), Vernon (Ilona) and Kingston.

Donations in memory can be made to the TLC Animal Shelter, Marshalltown.
