It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Donald Gidney of Weymouth, Nova Scotia, born in Digby, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Gidney and Martha Gidney (Sweeney); and his brother Gary. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his sons, Rollie and Calvin; his daughters-in-law, Natalie and Juanita; his granddaughters, Augustine, Genevieve and Magdalena; his sisters, Louise Gavel and Donna Beatty (Bob); and his sisters-in-law, Sue Theriault and Diane Jordan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, 1 great nephew, 1 great great nephew and 1 great great niece.
