He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin Dakens and Margaret Jean (O' Donnell); and his sister Anna Johnson. He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley Dewtie (John) of MacLellan's Mountain, Rena Hamilton (Dave) and James Elginburg (Melinda); and his brother-in-law Bryan Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Eagles Funeral Home (1611 N Main St, Westville, NS B0K2A0). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the Holy Name Cemetery (1659 MacKay St, Westville, NS B0K2A0).
