We are sad to announce that on December 14, 2024, at the age of 77, Janice Monica MacLeod (Westville, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Janice Monica is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Janice Monica's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth McCully and Faye McCully; her husband Hugh MacLeod; her brother Adam McCully; her brother-in-law Jerry Castle; and her stepgrandson Cameron MacDonald.
She is survived by: her son Milton (Shiela); her stepgranddaughter Kathleen MacDonald (Chad); her sister Helena Castle; and her sisters-in-law, Thelma Forbes Hamilton (Jimmie) of Ontario, Mary Belle MacLean Rockfield (Donnie) and Kay Hoare. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Church Cemetery. A reception was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Durham Church.
