He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Dort and Marion Dort (Pryde); and his former wife Gladys (Kaiser). He is survived by: his wife Caroline (Croft); his children, Tracy Dort, Sarah Dort, Natasha Karpow (Stephen) of Edmonton, AB, Trent (Samantha), Jonathan (Tara) and Matthew (Amanda); his grandchildren, Brandon, Nikolaus, Madison, Travis, Dawson, Emma, Katie, Lucy, Mae, Colby, Carson, Carter, Naryan, Ashton, Liam, Kelsey and Keegan; his sister Joy Dort; his stepdaughters, Patricia Logan, Jennifer Thompson and Grande Prairie; his stepgrandchildren, Marion, Matthew, Joey, James, Colin, Caitlin, Alanna, Brenden and Riley; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Keigan and Nora. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
