He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Lottie Jack; his daughter Carla; his siblings, Thelma, Hazel, Marie, Billy and Wendall; and his siblings-in-law, Walter Swinamer and Jean Jack.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Cathy Polley (Lee), Donald Smith (Karen), Paula Smith, Laura Dexter (Quentin), Rose Smith (Kevin) and Emma Smith; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Grantmeyer and Malcolm Myles; his wife Florence (Hallet); his siblings, Barry (Millie), Terry (Fred) and Charlene (Mike); and his friend Bills.
