He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Greenhorn; his sister Nancy; his brother-in-law John; his brother Tommy; his sister-in-law Sandra; and his parents, Thomas and Empfuemia.

He is survived by: his son Peter; his daughter-in-law Linda MacKay; and his granddaughter Megan. He is also survived by sisters in law and several nieces and nephews.
