Dorothy Canning Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Chisholm and Mary Chisholm (McAulay); her brothers, Jack (Ruth) and James; her significant other Russell Canning; her grandmother Dort; her children, Ruthie, Chet, David and Russell; her grandsons, David Allan and Rob; and her children-in-law, Debbie and John.
She is survived by: her children, Jack (Pamela), Clayton (Donna), Donald (Susan), Cathy Van Den Eynden and Mary Jane Marcott (Louis); her daughter-in-law Charlene Canning; her sister-in-law Kay MacLeod; her sister Mary Lays (Sandy); and her grandchildren, Jason, Vanessa, Stephanie, Michael, Jen, Jacob, Randy, Chris, Kati and Christie. She is also survived by fifteen great-grand children, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pictou County chapter of the VON.
