He was predeceased by: his parents, John Green and Loretta Green (Campbell); and his siblings, Leslie, Stephen, Joseph, Margaret "Peggy", Florence, Loretta and Anne.
He is survived by: his close friend Diane Bjorsnson; his daughter Alicia Freeman (MacLeod); and his brothers, John (Rose) and Thom (Roxanne). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
