She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Addington and Greta Crowe Addington; her husband Eugene Hanshaw; and her stepdaughter Barbara. She is survived by: her close friend Vernon Stanton; her son William Hanshaw (Kendra); her brothers, Malcolm Addington and Curtis Addington (Yvonne); and also, Mildred (Gerry), Roxanne (Gary), Claudette (Mike) and Bruce.
