She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. "Buddy" and Reta V. MacKay (Smith). She is survived by: her children, Adam (Jenny), Larry, Dawson and Rachael (Jeff); the parent of her children Francis King (Doris); her grandchildren, Nicholas King, Hannah King and Linwood; and her siblings, John C. MacKay (Helen), Hilden, Bill (Clair), Barbara Anne, Janie Chamberlain (Colin), Shirley MacDonald (Doug) and Evanston. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and three aunts.
