Jane Sophie Surette Obituary

We bid farewell to Jane Sophie Surette (Wedgeport, Nova Scotia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 9, 2024 at the age of 88. Jane Sophie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Robbins and Gertie Robbins (Cottreau); her husband Belmont Surette; her sons, Ernest and Malcolm Surette; her grandchildren, Anita and Ryan Saulnier; her siblings, William, Donald, Adolphe, Everette, Joseph, Frances Corporon, Viola and Agnes Doucette; and her son-in-law Larry McComiskey.

She is survived by: her children, Myrna Cottreau (Bernie), Sharon McComiskey (Norman Vacon), Phillippe Surette (late Brenda Surette) and Joan Surette (Andrew Williams); her grandchildren, Angie, Jennifer, Charles, Melissa, Thomas, Kyle, Katelynn and Keegan; her siblings-in-law, Wilbur Doucette and Betty Robbins; her close friend Ernest Muise; and her stepchildren, Vaughn, Valerie, Krista, Leslie, Lindsay and Kary. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, 12 step-grandchildren; and 3 great step- grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Melbourne Community Center.
