It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Albert Jacquard of Wedgeport, Nova Scotia, who passed away on June 18, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Jacquard and Isabelle Jacquard (Fitzgerald); his child Jackie; and his siblings, Melbourne, Helen, Virginia, Delphis, Rubin, Jimmy, George and Tony.

He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Jacquard (Corporon); his children, Normy Jacquard (Adriane), Ramona Scott (Mike), Plymouth, Marlene Holland (Chris) and Joey Jacquard; his grandchildren, Shane Scott (Felicia), Jenna Kaizer (Shane), Bryce Holland (Sharon), Brandon Holland (Sophia), Ryan Jacquard, Andrew Jacquard, Kirsten Jacquard and Emma Jacquard; his great grandchildren, Scarlett Kaizer, Dawson Kaizer, Emree Holland, Annie Holland and Lily-Jean Scott; and his siblings, Agnes Boudreau (Buddy) and Ralph Jacquard (Amelia) of Amirault's Hill.

Memorial donations in Gene's memory may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund, Wedgeport Cemetery or Villa St. Joseph-du-Lac.
