It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Joseph Benson (Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia), born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 13, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Joseph Benson (Tom) and Eva Blanche Benson; his wife Giséle (Bourgeois); his children, Michelle Benson (Michael Slack) and Alderic Benson (Anne); his grandsons, Jack and Derek; his siblings, Donna Lee, Linda Guthrie-Lee (Larry), Judy Lee, Jack Lee (Germaine), David Lee, Leo Lee (Cathy) and Tommy Lee (Judy); his stepfather Leo Lee; and his siblings, Roger, Dennis, Wayne Lee, Sheila Lee, Barbara Sturge and Pauline Mantley. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, sisters/brother-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tom's name to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Salvation Army. Donations are being accepted for: CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY SOCIÉTÉ CANADIENNE DU CANCER (CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY - SOCIETE CANADIENNE DU CANCER).
