He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas and May Thomas; his former wife Lillian; his wife Pearl; his children, Leonard and Lois; his grandson Craig; and his siblings, Ivor, Frances Kyte, Ray, Cyril and Eva Kent.
He is survived by: his children, Judy (Gary), Ronnie (Kathleen) and Lawrence; his daughter-in-law Enith; his sister Nettie Barron; and his brother-in-law George Kent. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
