Banks MacLean Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Banks MacLean of Upper North Sydney, Nova Scotia, born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, who passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray MacLean and Winnifred MacLean (MacDonald); his parents-in-law, Alice Matthews (Matchem Lilly) and Alexander Lilly; his stepfather-in-law Ernest Matthews; and his brother-in-law Garland Lilly.
He is survived by: his wife Madelyn MacLean (Lilly); his daughters, Brandy MacLean (Jacek Krzywicki) of Calgary, AB and Jennifer MacLean (Stephen Lilly) of St. John's, NL; his grandchildren, Koa, Rory Krzywicki and Esme Lilly; his sisters, Ina Green (late John Green) of Leitches Creek, NS and Jean MacLean of Fredericton, NB; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Rolfe (Raymond) of Sydney, NS, Tina Jesso (Walter) of Sooke, BC and Richard Matthews (Sharon) of North Sydney. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a large circle of friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Matthew Wesley United Church (27 St Columba Dr, Leitches Creek, NS B2A3Z1).
