He is survived by: his children, David and Chrissie; his father Douglas; his daughter-in-law Charnell; his grandchildren, Duncan and Darcie; his son-in-law Eddie Power; his grandsons, Max and Theo; his siblings, Linda Marks (Peter Hennigar), Cathy Faulkner, Myretta Farrell and Frank Marks (Karen); his siblings-in-law, Mark (Janet) and Janet Forsyth; his nieces and nephews, Sara, Samantha (Cory), Jillian (Dima) and Hannah (Alex); his aunt Elva; his uncle Bob Crowder; his cousins, Mike Trask (Kitty), Pam Dickson (Dann), Darlene Trask, Mark Stevens (Cindi), Doreen Sandford (Scott), Allen, Mary Nauffts, Troy, Alicia, Eric, Connie Nauffts, Wayne, Cheryl Bowen, Patsy, Kelly Breen and Ronnie Bowen (late Shirley); and also Alex Teeft. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.
Due to COVID 19 private family funeral will be held, Reverend Marilyn Newport officiating.
Born, raised and living in Ship Harbour, Ron started his career as a machinist at Purdy Brothers, moving to the Nova Scotia Research Foundation and then creating a successful business, Techtronic's Machine Works, which he sold in 2015.
