He was predeceased by: his parent Austin Farnell; his wife Dorothy (Kent); and his siblings, Earle "Bub", Marion "Bub", Hazel "Bub" and Gordon "Bub".
He is survived by: his parent Anna Farnell (Connor); his children, Ray (Karen), Margaret Archibald (Joe) of Stewiacke and Rita Whitney (Bill) of Texas; his grandchildren, Joseph, Douglas, Derek, Leah, Will and Max; his great grandchildren, Austin of Alden and Meah; his brother Eric; and also Welland.
Memorial donations may be made to St. James United Church, Royal Canadian Legion Valley Branch 147, Upper Musquodoboit, or Elm Lodge #115, Upper Stewiacke.
