He was predeceased by: his parents, Judson Ira and Effie May Hartlin (Higgins); his siblings, Roy, Ralph, Ira and Elaine; and his close friend Christine Fralick.
He is survived by: his sisters, Ivy Bradley and Joyce MacAdams; and his sister-in-law Reta Hartlin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
