He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeda Butcher (Fraser) and Eldridge Butcher; his brothers, Lloyd and Lester; his parents-in-law, Marion (Foley) and Murray Dillman; and his sisters-in-law, Edith Dillman and Martha Codner (Dillman).

He is survived by: his wife Joyce (Dillman); his children, Janet and Glen (Sarah); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher and Chloe; his brothers-in-law, Max Dillman (Bernice) and Patrick Codner; his nieces, Kendra and Amy; and his nephew Murray.
