He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Nickerson (Lewis) and Samuel Wesley Nickerson; his wife Jean McCaul; and his siblings, Kathleen, Betty, Brenton, Roger, Avery and Lee.

He is survived by: his parents-in-law, Richard (Barb Curren), Wanda (Gerald Dillman), Pamela, Darlene (Ken Farrell), Marion (Jim Mackie) and Paula; his grandchildren, Garett Dillman (Emily), Randall Dillman (Megan), Christopher Nickerson (Nicholette), Robert Nickerson (Alex Warman), Thomas Nickerson, Ian Kerr (Heidi), Tracy Kerr, Aaron Farrell (Ashley), Ryan Farrell (Mickeelie Webb), Laura Croft (Rodney) and Amey Farrell (Morgan M.); and his great grandchildren, Katrina Kerr, Milla Kerr, Emmett Kerr, Claire Dillman, Jack Dillman, Lena Dillman, Simon Nickerson, Sylvie Nickerson and Reese Croft.
