He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Patterson (Giles); and his siblings, Margaret, Hazel, Pat, Kay, Alice, Doug and Robert.

He is survived by: his brother George; his sons, Raymond (Barb), Gary (Sandra), Robert (Gayla) and Neil (Michelle); his grandchildren, Katie, Cassie and Joshua; and his great grandchildren, Riley, Oakley, Lincoln and Zackery. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
