He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Brittain; and his sisters, Mabel Schnare and Claire Crowell. He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Sweeney); his daughter Kim Bayer (Stephen); his grandchildren, Alex (April), Logan and Rachel; his great grandchild August; and his sisters, Shirley Rhodenizer (Clifford) and Patricia Stewart (late Douglas).
