He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Weir and Ruby Weir (Allen); his father-in-law Charles Archibald; his brothers, Fred and Ken Weir; his siblings-in-law, Garth Densmore, Don Brown and Effie Weir; and his nieces and nephews, Kenneth Weir, Gary Weir, Pamela Weir and Debra Weir.

He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judie" (Archibald); his daughter Shelley Power (Robert); his grandsons, Joshua and Christopher Power; his son Trevor Weir (Linda); his granddaughter Emilee Weir; his aunt Wanda Smith; his sister Helen Densmore; his mother-in-law Elva Archibald; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Brown and Brian Archibald (Karen). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
