He was predeceased by: his parents, James and May (Chute); his son Marty Robbins; his daughter-in-law Dawn Robbins; and his siblings, Charles Robbins and Vera.

He is survived by: his children, James Robbins, Anita Wilson (Jack) and Laura Gorman (Allen). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are welcomed.
